INTRODUCTION
Association For Health Development was established in 2008 by a group of public spirited philanthropists to serve the ailing humanity. It is a non-governmental and non profit organization. Based at Islamabad with branch offices in Quetta and Loralai it is mainly a community development organization which helps the people without any distinction of; religion, region, caste, creed or gender. It was properly registered in 2009 under the social welfare act of Government of Pakistan (Registration and control) ordinance 1961 (XL 1961). It has no political or Government affiliation. Its areas of operation is to start with primarily Baluchistan and later on Pakistan with a focus on fields of Health, Education, Social welfare, Environment, Agriculture, Human resource development capacity building training and planning

Aims and objectives of the organization:
It is committed to fighting poverty, injustice, discrimination and exploitation at all levels from local to national.
It aims that there should be a world in which there is freedom from want and freedom from fear.
It envisages a world in which there is people centered development oriented towards freedom from hunger and disease from children, women and men irrespective of caste, class, gender, sect, religion, nationality or ethnicity.
To make our dream a reality and resolve to oppose all forces that creates violence, injustice and marginalization. We also oppose fundamentalism, radicalism, terrorism an extremism of all kinds.
We shall strive and struggle to remove economic disparities and poverty through a right based approach.
We will challenge the power imbalances created by vested interests and its myriad effect, on our society and culture.We will continue our efforts to provide health, education, sanitation, security and employment to citizens of Pakistan
Celebration of 1st world malaria day in Pakistan
A new way to communicate the messages by close working with the communities and through the provision of preventive and curative services at the door steps of malaria inflicted populations in the coal mines areas of Balochistan province.
Under the resolution of world health assembly held in may 2007 Government of Pakistan being the signatury of the resolution had planned to commemorate the 1st world malaria day on 25 april 2008. the day was celebrated through out the country by organizing district level seminars, Tv and radio talk shows , publishing of day specific print media supplements and organizations of walk with the community representatives, decision makers and stakeholders of all line departments.AHD was one of the pioneers to celebrate world malaria day with the mines workers of Balochistan in loralai district. Balochistan is the highly endemic province sharing the major burden of the disease in terms of total reported cases and the highest Falciparum ratio.
